Bioluminescent Mice

This picture represents the idea of genetic modification. Mice, those soldiers of lab work, have been genetically modified many times over. In one experiment, the gene for bioluminescence from a jellyfish was spliced onto mouse DNA, causing the mice to glow in the dark. The rest of the picture is an exploration of how to depict sand, moss and Masdavallia orchids.
